Brazil

Travel to another planet – on this earth. Brazil is several countries in one. The atmosphere and the mentality is different from the Spanish-speaking neighbors. The world’s fifth largest country and almost 200 million inhabitants are mainly concentrated in the industrial but still beautiful south around São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre.

Samba, beaches with beach boys and beach babes. In all ages. Brazil embraces a love-all serve-all philosophy in a tolerant society with people of all shapes and colors. The melting pot boils over here creating some of this planet´s most beautiful faces. The big cities of the south are all different as day and night. Provincial Brazil has a totally different touch to it like the Colonial interior around the state of Minas Gerais with it´s historic colonial cities such as Tiradentes and Ouro Preto. To the northeast the African-embossed bounty beaches of Salvador all the way up to Fortaleza and Belém, gateway to the world’s largest river delta of the Amazon. The rain forest is the earth’s lung, yet, and has the world’s largest biodiversity in an area that also covers eastern Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia and the southern Venezuela.

In the southwest Brazil holds the world’s largest wetland, Pantanal, with abundant wildlife including the South American alligators, caimanes. The southernmost Brazil is an authentic immigrant-mix with cities proudly showing off their mid-European, primarily German, background.

On the border with Argentina and Paraguay are the world’s largest waterfalls, Iguazú, whose majestic greatness can´t be described with words. 275 falls on 3 kilometers with juggernaut Devil’s Throat as the culmination of this earth on-ground (freshwater)splashing.
